1. Bond Amount:
-A bond of $295 will be charged to the client before they pick up the bike from the store. This bond is refundable, subject to the conditions outlined below.
2. Workshop Check:
-A workshop check will be conducted within 96 hours after the customer returns the bike to the store.
-During this workshop check, the bike will be inspected for any damage, excluding consumable parts.
3. Customer Responsibility:
-We strongly recommend that customers make a video recording of the bike at the time of pickup to document its condition.
4. Bond Refund Process:
-The bond refund process will commence after the workshop check is completed.
-If no damage (excluding consumable parts) is found during the workshop check, the full bond amount will be refunded to the client.
5. Deductions from Bond at the end of the lease period:
- If damage to the bike is identified during the workshop check, the cost of repair or replacement (excluding consumable parts) will be deducted from the bond. These costs will be clearly outlined on a waiver that the customer signs when entering into the rental agreement.
6. Bond Refund Timeline:
- Any balance remaining after deductions for repairs will be refunded to the client within this timeframe.

By renting a bike from Bondi Bike Shop, clients agree to adhere to this Bond Policy. This policy is in place to ensure the fair and responsible use of our bikes and to facilitate a smooth bond refund process. We encourage our customers to take good care of their rented bikes and to promptly report any issues or damage during their rental period.
